SXSW 2011 Coverage – The Echocentrics

Tremble met up with Adrian Quesada of Brownout, Grupo Fantasma, and several other amazing groups on the second or third night we got into Austin. It was at this point that he told us about one of his side projects, The Echocentrics, involving Argentinian singer, Natalia Clavier, as well as the beautiful and wildly talented Brazilian singer, “Tita Lima.” Tita’s father was the bass player for famed Brazilian psych/tropicalia band, Os Mutantes.

We were lucky enough to catch up with The Echocentrics at their debut performance a few days later during the SXSW music festival. The show was at Beauty Bar, and it was, by far, one of the best shows we saw at the festival. Adrian and Tita reflect on their influences for this group, the other members of the band, their new recordings, their first gig, and making music remotely.
